2. What is PUR Cable
Pur cable is the cable with polyurethane as the sheath material, this kind of cable has good abrasion resistance, tensile strength, low temperature resistance, hydrolysis resistance, chemical resistance, ultraviolet resistance….
Common models include H07BQ-F, H05BQ-F, and the popular EV charging connecting cable H07BZ5-F type.

A. Electric Vehicle Charging Cables: Weather Resistant, Drag Resistant
EV charging cables will be exposed to sunlight and harsh environments for a long time because of their application. If it is a PVC cable will be very easy to be cracked , so people tend to have weather resistance, UV resistance, drag resistance performance of Pur cable. And if you check the relevant EV charging cable standard EN50620, you will find that the sheath material of its standard model H07BZ5-F should be made of PUR-HF.
B. Drag Chain System: Friction resistance Mechanical stress good
Drag chain systems in the automation industry, the need for repeated drag cycle, these drag chains have high frequency, acceleration and other characteristics.
So the pur drag chain cables need to be very resistant to abrasion. Therefore, many manufacturers choose Pur cable as the first choice instead of PVC which is easy to break.
C. Trailer Connecting Cable: Weather Resistance, Low-Temperature Resistance
As the cable connecting the trailer light control, the trailer cable will be exposed to the harsh outdoor environment all year round. Of course, if it is in ordinary climates, ordinary plastic materials have no problem. But in Canada as well as Russia and other places, we don’t recommend using ordinary cables. We can find out from SAEJ2394 that the standard material for trailer cable should be PUR, its –40℃ temperature resistance and excellent mechanical properties make the cable still have excellent performance in the harsh low temperature.
4. How to Determine the Quality of a PUR Cable
Pur cable jackets are flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, and do not produce toxic gas.
