Das KVVP-Steuerkabel wird für Wechselspannungen von 450 V/750 V sowie für die folgenden Steuer- und Überwachungskreise, Schutzleitungen und andere Anwendungen verwendet.
Dieses Kabel verfügt über eine gute Abschirmleistung und wird daher häufig in Kraftwerken und Stromwerken eingesetzt. Es wird häufig als Verbindungsleitung für Überwachungskreise zum Schutz vor elektromagnetischen Störungen eingesetzt. Die Leitertemperatur darf im Dauerbetrieb 70 °C nicht überschreiten. Das Kabel verfügt über eine Armierungsschicht, ist flammhemmend, raucharm und halogenfrei und entspricht der Norm GB9330.2-2008.
