PUR Cable or Polyurethane Cable has a sheathing material made of TPU. In the VDE standard, this is often abbreviated as 11Y. Common models include H05BQ-F and H07BQ-F. Below are the characteristics of PUR cables:

1. Wear and Abrasion Resistance

   • PUR cables have a sheathing that is resistant to abrasion. The weight of this material is much lighter than rubber cables of the same specification. Therefore, it is suitable for use in drag chain systems or reel systems.

   • PUR cables have good resistance to UV rays. So, some outdoor charging cables for new energy vehicles will use a PUR sheath.

5. Temperature Resistance

   • PUR cables have good performance in various temperatures. The rated temperature can reach -40°C to 90°C.

6. Bending Fatigue Resistance

   • PUR cables have an outstanding ability for bending fatigue resistance. This makes PUR cables the main material for spiral cables. Common applications are coiled trailer cables, anti-static coil cables with clamps, and earth spiral cables.
